poems for two voices

Poem 1

I come before you as if you were God
as if there were a god
I know, people don't usually do such sort of things
they live on their knees
but I could never be bothered
unable to look up
with the small details of breathing
to notice the simplest of things

If my body fails to adore you
was there a need for adoration
I will punish it
for punishment
My eyes, I will say to my eyes
i say take your eyes
if you fail to see
see the thing
through his blade of grass
right in front of you
I will take you out of my eyes
and make your eyes weep with wonder
My mouth, I will say to my mouth
and your mouth
if you fail to glow
fill your mouth
beyond the word and its absence
with the shape of being
if you fail to open as the sin at dusk
not these things of names
I will take you out of my mouth
let them fall
My blood and my bones
that flesh
I will say to you then
that weak flesh
if you fail to build his house
make of it
his temple of snow
your boat
his ark of sorrow
your flight
his throne of wine
your journey
I will take you out of my blood and my bones
there is no-one but you

until I
yourself
stripped of myself
alone
learn to be.

Poem 2

the untold stories
those stories
plunging their roots
growing out of you
into the bone of
blooming
my heart
uncontrollable
poisonous and hungry
that foliage
the unwritten sisters and
that becomes sibling
daughters of mine
child, your flesh
agitating their dark foliage
abundance
in me
unbearable

listen to me you
listen to me
to whose feet my untold
there are stories
stories
washing around you
my unwritten
unheard, un-noticed
bodies of despair command
their loss
me to kneel
forces you to your knees
they put a rope around
chokes the breath
my neck
in your throat
they take my
stuffs your mouth
mouth
with despair
they want revenge
what is it you want
they tear me
to fall
down
to go
in search of
what?
hear me out you
listen!
to whose feet I don’t
i am not

these are poems that came from roxana's blog. usually we bounce ideas off each other to do with images. this is what happened with words
